Halva Ice-Cream
Ingredients
- 2 litres good quality full-cream vanilla ice-cream
- 1 cup or 250 ml Tahina paste
- 1 block of crumbled halva 250 -300 grams
Method
1.
Allow the tub of vanilla ice cream to soften but not melt at room temperature for 5 minutes.
2.
Mix the tahina paste into the soft ice cream, swirl or blend it in evenly throughout the ice cream with a fork or spoon.
3.
Add ½ cup of the halva crumbled pieces into the softened ice-cream for added crunch and return to the freezer to set overnight.
4.
Top with pieces of the remaining crumbled halva and garnish with a sprig of mint when serving in dessert or ice cream bowls.
